Man injured in weekend shooting on West Fairview Avenue

A Montgomery man is recovering from injuries sustained in a shooting over the weekend.

Maj. Saba Coleman tells Action 8 News that the shooting happened around 7:32 p.m. Sunday in the 400 block of West Fairview Avenue.

Once officers and fire medics arrived, they found an adult male with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The unidentified victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Officials say the victim told them that his building was damaged as a result of the gunfire. Police also say an additional person told them he had damage to his vehicle as well.

No word on any suspects at this time.
