Update: The road has been cleared. Crash blocks I-85 Northbound in Macon Co.
State troopers say the road has been cleared and traffic is flowing again.
I-85 at mile marker 36 is blocked due to a serious accident.
A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:55 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, has caused a lane closure. The northbound lanes of Interstate 85 near the 35 mile marker in Macon County are currently blocked and will be for an undetermined amount of time. Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are currently on scene investigating and will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
