8 ON YOUR SIDE CONSUMER ALERT: More than eight tons of beef sold at Walmart stores nationwide are being recalled because of possible e-coli contamination.

The recall affects both trays and patties of ground beef, ground chuck and ground sirloin. The products were produced on April 26-27, 2024.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says you should throw away the meat or return it to the store.

So far, there have been no reports of illness. Symptoms of e-coli infection include severe stomach cramps and diarrhea, which usually start about three to four days after eating the contaminated food.
