Auburn high school senior dies after being shot in Union Springs

An Auburn high school senior, who was just days away from graduation, has died after being shot in Union Springs.

18-year-old Delvin Tarver was shot in the 100 block of Baskin Street just after 12:30 Saturday morning. An arrest has not been made in the case.

Central Alabama CrimeStoppers is offering a $1,000 reward to help identify and arrest the shooter. If you have any information, call (334) 215-STOP.

Auburn City Schools has released this statement about Tarver’s death:

“It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the untimely passing of a cherished member of our Auburn High School community. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the family and friends during this difficult time.”
