Hampstead hosts annual crawfish boil
Dozens of people gathered at Hampstead to enjoy a good old fashioned crawfish boil on Saturday afternoon. This the 3rd year that Hampstead has hosted the crawfish boil, and the Lido Green next to Hampstead Lake was the perfect place for people to listen to live music by PSUEDO while they chowed down. This is a favorite tradition that brings the community together, and it allows people to visit with one another and make new friends.
Anna Lowder with the Hampstead Institute says, “It really brings all the neighbors together. It gives them a chance to bring their friends out and experience what life is like out here. And also for the Hampstead institute, which put on the event, it lets us achieve our mission which is community building through events and interaction within Homestead.” Hampstead also hosts Food Truck Takeovers in the spring and the fall.
