Montgomery City Council District 6 Town Hall Meeting
Montgomery City Councilor Oronde Mitchell held a town hall meeting for District 6 residents on Tuesday.
Residents met at True Divine Church on Virginia Loop Road to speak directly to city leaders, and voice their concerns in the district.
District 6 City Councilor Oronde Mitchell was there to speak with residents about what he is doing to help fix issues in communities.
Topics discussed included crime, economic development, sanitation services, land development, community centers, and apartment complexes.
“This was about bringing the city to our community. A lot of individuals do not have the opportunity or time to go down to the City Council meeting. A lot of them have issues, and sometimes they want to talk to real people. So this gives them the opportunity to talk to those department heads so that they can actually get those issues resolved by being face to face,” says Mitchell.
Montgomery residents are always welcomed to speak publicly and directly to city leaders at city council meetings.
The next Montgomery City Council meeting is on Tuesday, May 21.
