Reward increased in death of Montgomery woman on Mother’s Day
Central Alabama CrimeStoppers say the reward leading to an arrest in the death of a Montgomery woman on Mother’s Day has increased.
Montgomery City Councilors CC Calhoun, Glen Pruitt and Oronde Mitchell are now adding $15,000 to the original $1,000 reward. The total reward stands at $16,000 for any information to leads to the identity and arrest of a suspect that shot and killed 64-year-old Gloria Crews Sunday.
Police say the fatal shooting happened just after 7:00 p.m. in the 4200 block of Cobbington Road. Once they arrived, they found Crews with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Crews was later pronounced dead on the scene.
The circumstances surrounding this violent fatal shooting remain under investigation and no other details are available for release at this time.
Investigators and family ask anyone who may have seen something or know something to please come forward.
