2 injured in Montgomery house fire

23fireTwo people have been injured in a Monday afternoon fire in Montgomery.

Montgomery Fire/Rescue Assistant Fire Chief Stanley Cooper tells Action 8 News that the fire happened around 2:00 p.m. in the 600 block of Cleveland Court.

Once firefighters arrived, they found smoke visible and declared a W-3 working fire.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire.

Assistant Fire Chief Cooper says three people were located and treated.

An 82-year-old woman was treated for smoke inhalation and taken to the emergency room, while an mid-40s patient was treated for a minor burn and refused transport.

The third victim, a juvenile, didn’t have any injuries or complaints. No firefighters were injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
