Summer-Like Heat Ahead This Week

We’re entering into a much quieter weather pattern and all indications it sticks around for several days.  Abundant sunshine will lead to temps climbing and we should see several days with 90 degree heat this week.  Moisture will be increasing and the chance for scattered showers will return going into the longer holiday weekend.

In the meantime, high pressure will be over the deep south and this will help keep mainly dry.  Our late May sunshine will be sending temps into the upper 80s to lower 90s for highs.  Rain chances are slim to none through Thursday but that will change going into the weekend.  A boundary will slip into the region and we could see scattered showers or storms Friday afternoon. Rain activity will be possible over the weekend into early next week. Temps will continue to hover around 90 degrees for highs and upper 60s to lower 70s for overnight lows.

Looks like a disturbance will be approaching the region early next week.  This may lead to increased coverage of showers and storms.  Clouds and rain activity would also impact temps and that could help knock the heat down a bit.
