ACTION 8 UPDATE: Montgomery man dies after being shot on East Patton Avenue

ACTION 8 UPDATE: Montgomery police say a man who was shot on East Patton Avenue has died of his injuries.

Police say they have launched a homicide investigation following the death of 39-year-old Demetrus Porter of Montgomery.

Police say he was shot at about 2:54AM in the 500 block of East Patton Avenue on Sunday, May 12. He died at a hospital on Monday, May 20.

Police have released no other information.
