Montgomery police launch homicide investigation after Oak Street shooting victim dies

Montgomery police have launched a homicide investigation after a man was shot and killed on Oak Street.

Police say they were called to the 1100 block of Oak Street at about 1:14AM Sunday, May 12. That’s where they found 34-year-old Jeffrey Williams of Montgomery suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he died on Saturday, May 18.

Police have released no other information.
