Man shot near Taylor Road in Montgomery

Montgomery police are investigating a shooting near Taylor Road that left a man injured.

Police Maj. Saba Coleman told Action 8 News that officers were called to the 3400 block of Malcolm Drive last night at about 10:20PM. That location is behind Tipico De Mexico and Max Credit Union.

Coleman said officers found a man with what police call a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Police say the man told them that the shooter demanded money from him, and when he refused, he was shot.

The man was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police have released no other information.
