Montgomery man arrested after chase

A Montgomery man is charged with leading an Alabama State Trooper on a chase.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, a state trooper spotted the driver of a car driving erratically on Alabama River Parkway near North Chase Apartments just before 10:30 this morning. ALEA says the state trooper tried to pull over the car, but the driver failed to stop and a chase began.

The chase continued onto Northern Boulevard before the driver, identified as 27-year-old Michael Lockhart of Montgomery, was taken into custody. He has been taken to the Montgomery County Jail and charged with attempting to elude.
