1 dead, 2 injured in two separate shootings in Troy

23troyOne person is dead and two others injured in two separate shootings in Troy overnight.

The first shooting happened around 11:25 p.m. in the 1100 block of U.S. 231.

Officers responded to the area after receiving a call that shots had been fired at a local business.

Once they arrived, they found two female victims with gunshot wound.

One victim was taken to Troy Regional Medical Center and the other was taken to a Montgomery hospital. Both women are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Troy police two people have been charged in the incident.

A 17-year-old juvenile male has been charged with discharging a firearm in the city limits and reckless endangerment.

Police also charged 20-year-old Anthony Jackson with 2nd degree assault.

The other shooting happened around 2:23 a.m. in the 400 block of Aster Circle.

When officers arrived, they found a 23-year-old woman dead from a gunshot wound.
