Retirement celebration held for 6 Highland Home teachers
A retirement celebration was held Thursday for six teachers at one Crenshaw County school.
Kathy Elliott, Tina McGough, Bridget Worthington, Jamie Sanders, Melissa Phillips and Shauna Jackson are retiring from Highland Home High School.
The six teachers were thanked for their combined 155 years of service to the classroom during a special presentation on the last day of school.
Each educator received a plaque from the Crenshaw County Board of Education as a token of appreciation for their service.
