Two people dead in apparent murder-suicide in Covington County

Two people are dead after an apparent murder-suicide in Covington County.

It happened just before sunrise on Sunday in Gantt. Covington County Chief Deputy Todd Grimes told Action 8 News that Cindi Jordan had called 9-1-1 from the Stillman Road area.

She was very upset, saying her ex-husband had broken into her house and was going to kill her.

Communication was lost, and when deputies arrived, along with police from Gantt and Andalusia, they found her body with several gunshot wounds.

Grimes says her ex-husband, Robert Ribarin Sr., also killed himself. He says the couple had recently gotten divorced.

22-caliber and 38-caliber guns were recovered at the scene.
