Vaughan Kidney Care provides advanced dialysis care in Selma
From the West Alabama Newsroom–
A new state-of-the-art dialysis center is now up and running in Selma.
Vaughan Kidney Care features an experienced staff — and the latest technology in renal care.
The dialysis center is a partnership between Vaughan Regional Hospital and Innovative Renal Care.
“Having a dialysis clinic that is close to your home makes a huge difference in a community like this,” said IRC Regional VP Seun Adewale.
The new center has 10 stations — that include heated massage dialysis chairs — cable TV in each chair — and wireless internet access.
Officials say the center is both convenient and comfortable for patients.
“So, it’s a difficult process for people to have to go through. You’ve got to sit there for several hours so we want to make patients very comfortable,” said Vaughan CEO David McCormack.
“Because if you don’t come when you’re supposed to you get into a crisis. So, we want to make people want to come.”
A ribbon cutting and an open house were held at the facility Tuesday afternoon.
