ACTION 8 UPDATE: Name of victim killed in Ann Street shooting released
ACTION 8 UPDATE: The name of the victim killed in a shooting on Ann Street in Montgomery that wounded two others has been released.
Montgomery police say 26-year-old Johnny Butler, Jr., was killed in the shooting at about 11:30PM Wednesday night.
As Action 8 News has reported, the shooting happened in the 1000 block of Ann Street, which is just off Interstate 85 near Chick-fil-A, the Walmart Supercenter and various gas stations.
Police say the two others who were injured were a man who suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound and another man who had a non-life threatening gunshot wound. They were both taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police have launched a homicide investigation into Butler’s death. They have released no other information.
