The Levitt AMP Selma music series — kicks off in about a week and organizers are making final preparations for the event.

Wal Levittampselma0531 Vo City crews are working to finish up a renovation project at the Selma Amphitheater — to get it ready for the summer concert series.

The music series will feature free live concerts on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month — from June to October.

The concerts spotlight performers from around the state of Alabama — highlighted by a June 22nd concert by Selma native Asher Havon.

“So, Selma’s own Asher Havon will be returning to Selma after his big win. He was the winner of the Voice. And we are excited that he is bringing his first show home to us here in Selma,” said Lydia Chatmon.

All of the concerts are free to the public — food vendors will be on site — and lawn chairs and blankets are permitted.

A concert schedule is available at trhtselma.org.
