A 13-year-old was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 in Autauga County that left three other people injured.

Alabama State Troopers say the wreck happened about eight miles north of Prattville in the afternoon of Friday, June 7.

Investigators say the teen, who was from Tennessee, was riding in a small SUV driven by 26-year-old Ashley Moore of La Follette, Tennessee, that collided head-on with a car driven by 39-year-old Evann Jones of Augusta, Georgia.

State troopers say after that collision, Jones’ car was struck by a car driven by 76-year-old Dennis Wells of Athens. Investigators say Jones’ car then hit a pickup truck driven by 54-year-old Ramiro Garcia of Ardian, Michigan.

Investigators say the 13-year-old died at a hospital. A 14-year-old, who was also riding in the SUV, was taken to hospital with injuries. Moore and Jones were also taken to a hospital for treatment.

State troopers have released no other information.
