ACTION 8 UPDATE: Montgomery police reclassify fatal shooting as “death investigation”

ACTION 8 UPDATE: A fatal shooting from earlier this year has now been reclassified as a “death investigation” by Montgomery police.

The shooting happened in the 3800 block of South Court Street, near Delano Avenue, at about 7:15PM on Tuesday, February 27.

As Action 8 News has reported, that’s where police found 34-year-old Cortavious McLean of Montgomery dead of a gunshot wound.

At the time, police announced they had launched a homicide investigation into McLean’s death.

Police now say that new evidence has led them to change their probe into a death investigation. They have not revealed the new evidence.
