ACTION 8 UPDATE: The reward amount has been raised in the hopes of solving the fatal shooting of an Auburn High School senior in Union Springs.

The reward has been raised from $1,000 to $1,500 in the hopes of making an arrest. Central Alabama CrimeStoppers says a private donor is the one who added the $500 to the reward total.

As Action 8 News has reported, 18-year-old Delvin Tarver of Auburn was shot at about 12:44AM on Saturday, May 4. He was just days away from graduation from high school.

Union Springs police were called to the CVS at 101 Baskin Street. That’s where they found Tarver with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, where he later died.
