Sewell hosts Seniors Resource Roundtable in Linden
From the West Alabama Newsroom–
Congresswoman Terri Sewell hosted a Seniors Resource Roundtable in Linden — Tuesday morning.
Dozens of retirees packed the Linden Senior Center to attend the event.
They learned about some of the state and federal resources that are available for them.
They also got an opportunity to voice their concerns at the event.
Social security — Medicare — and prescription drug costs — were some of the topics that were discussed.
“It’s a chance to meet our constituents where they live, and where they get their services,” Sewell said.
“It was very useful information for us to get, about healthcare, about food services, about social security,” said Edward Oates.
Sewell visits all fourteen of the counties in the 7th Congressional District each year.
She also plans to hold roundtable events for seniors and veterans — throughout the district.
