ASU’s José Vázquez, Troy’s Skylar Meade to coach USA Baseball CNT
Alabama State’s and Troy’s baseball head coaches will lead the Collegiate National Team for the International Friendship Series this summer. ASU’s José Vázquez will return to Team USA to serve as manager . While, as USA Baseball announced Friday, Troy baseball head coach Skylar Meade joins for the first time as the pitching coach.
The Collegiate National Team Training Camp will feature 56 of the top non-draft-eligible collegiate players in the country. Troy’s Brooks Bryan was one of the players to receive an invitation.
On June 26 and 27, players will face off in a Stars and Stripes scrimmage at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary N.C. Then Team USA will select rosters for the International Friendship Series and Summer League Tour.
The International Friendship Series team will play versus Chinese Taipei from June 29-July 3. The International Friendship Series team will then play a scrimmage against the Summer League Tour team in Fayetteville, NC.
