Homicide investigation underway after body found in Montgomery
Montgomery police have opened up a homicide investigation after a body was found earlier today.
Maj. Saba Coleman tells Action 8 News that officers and fire medics responded around 12:50 p.m. to the 2100 block of Plum Street.
Once they arrived, they found an adult male with a fatal gunshot wound. The unidentified male victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police have charged 65-year-old Kevin Chase, of Montgomery, with murder.
Chase was quickly identified as the suspect and taken into custody. He is currently in the Montgomery County Detention Facility on no bond.
Maj. Coleman says the victim’s name will not be released until the next of kin has been notified.
