Looks like we’re setting up for our rain chances to increase over the next several days. A weather feature will be overhead helping to ignite showers and storms Thursday and Friday. As a result, we should see temps come down a bit due to clouds and rain activity.
In the meantime, our sky will be mostly cloudy with temps falling into the lower to mid 70s overnight. A shower or two can’t be ruled out as well. Another round of showers and a t-storms will move through our area Thursday. Temps are expected to only manage lower to mid 90s for highs. That’s still hot and it will be rather humid as well. Heat indices (what it feels like) will be above 100 degrees!
The rest of the week and upcoming weekend will continue to be hot and humid with highs in the mid 90s. We do expect there will be periods showers and storm each day. Some of the storms will be capable of heavy rainfall, frequent lightning, and gusty winds. Not everyone will see them but most will probably welcome any liquid relief from these scorching June temperatures!
