Crews from Montgomery Fire/Rescue spent part of Wednesday morning battling a structure fire in Midtown.

The two-alarm fire happened in the 2600 block of Zelda Road. Our crew on the scene identified the structure as the old Mrs. Winners location near I-85.

Once crews arrived, they were met with smoke and flames visible from the vacant commercial building.

After crews mounted a defensive attack, the fire was brought under control and extinguished.

No one was injured in the fire.

Montgomery Fire/Rescue’s Bureau of Investigation is handling the investigation.
