Andalusia Ballet Welcomes the Harlem Dance Theatre
The Andalusia Ballet is offering a night if Big City performances as they welcome dancers from New York’s Dance Theatre of Harlem. The ballet company is preparing for it’s summer dances performance. The summer dances is an annual event 20 years strong which proves that the preparation well worth all their hard work.
Dancers from across the area took place in this year’s intensive. Those dancers will get the chance to perform with two rising stars of the Dance Theatre of Harlem, one which got his start right here in Andalusia.
“Micah when he was much younger still a student he came and participated in our summer initiative and so it’s been so fabulous to just follow his career and all that he’s been able to do.” Says Andalusia Ballet Artistic Director, Meryane Murphy.
The event is 7 o’clock Friday June 28th at The Dixon Center in Andalusia and is free to the public.
