2 dead, 6 injured in Pike County crash
A crash in Pike County has claimed the life of two people.
Brundidge Police Chief Sam Green says the two-vehicle crash happened on County Road 4421 Thursday evening.
Chief Green says 40-year-old Heather Minton, of Troy, was pronounced dead on the scene.
A juvenile passenger who was in the vehicle was airlifted to a medical facility where they later died.
Green says six other victims were taken to medical facilities with non-life threatening injuries.
The Brundidge Police Department, ALEA, the Pike County Coroner’s Office and the Pike County District Attorney’s Office are working to determine the cause of the crash.
