Burglary suspect out on bond arrested again for the same crime

23whitedeontay060324A man out on bond for burglarizing a business in June was arrested again for the same crime at the same business.

Court records obtained by Action 8 News say 20-year-old Deontay James White, of Montgomery, was present while a co-defendant, an unidentified 16-year-old male, made forced entry into the front door of the Dollar General on Lower Wetumpka Road around 12:30 a.m. Friday.

Court records say the juvenile male handed White 3 to 4 12-pack cases of beer from inside the store.

White shortly fled on foot while the juvenile male continued to take tobacco products from the store before eventually fleeing on foot in the same direction as White.

Both suspects were taken into custody at a home nearby on Broadview Street.

This isn’t the first time White is accused of burglarizing the Dollar General.

On June 2, White and 55-year-old Alonzo Elliott Anderson, of Uniontown, was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary for breaking into the store around 4:00 a.m.

White is currently in the Montgomery County Detention Facility on a third-degree burglary charge. The 16-year-old male was released to a guardian.
