The Heat Soars Through The 90s This Weekend
The heat is on as temps soar through the 90s this weekend. A ridge of high pressure will be the main weather feature over the area. The ridge will help provide mostly sunny skies and mainly dry conditions. Temps will manage mid to upper 90s. A few spots may even snag the triple digit mark. Moisture will gradually be increasing and late afternoon pop up showers or storms will be possible Sunday.
We head into next week with the heat still cranked up but our rain chances will be increasing. Those mid to upper 90s continue through Tuesday but more rain activity may cut into the heat Wednesday through the latter half of the week. Scattered showers and storms are likely each afternoon. The coverage will increase as the week progresses. Humidity levels will be on the rise and the old threaded heat index climbs. We expect heat indices to be back in the 100 to 110 degree range.
