AFC South Storm Wins Quarterfinal with Goal in 91st Minute
The AFC South Storm hosted their first-ever playoff game in their inaugural season. And while they scored nine goals to clinch the home playoff game, their quarterfinal would be scoreless until the 91st minute.
On a free kick opportunity, AFC South midfielder Glenn Waters kicked it into the back of the net.
The Storm struck at the right time. They won 1-0 and advance to their first-ever semifinals. They’ll face Southern States SC in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, on Saturday.
