Driver killed, two passengers hurt in hit-and-run wreck in Montgomery

Montgomery police are investigating a hit-and-run wreck involving two vehicles that left one person dead and two others hurt.

Police say at about 1:37 this morning, they were called to the 3500 block of Carter Hill Road, which is near the Midtown YMCA.

That’s where they found a Dodge Charger. The driver, 23-year-old Jamauri Tyler of  Montgomery, was found dead. Both of his passengers were taken to a hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the driver of the second vehicle involved had driven off before officers arrived.
