Pay It Forward: Amanda Wesson of Montgomery
Amanda Wesson started a porch pantry a few years ago to help out with food, hygiene items, and clothing for those in need.
She will even drive to deliver items to the elderly or those who can’t pick it up themselves.
The outreach is a labor of love that moved one of the recipients to nominate her for the Vance Law Firm’s Pay It Forward award.
“I nominated Amanda because of the fact that she didn’t know me from anybody and when I needed some food she would literally say ‘hey, come over here I got you something,'”‘ said Carla Campbell.
Wesson says the $333 came at the right time.
“Very, Very surprised. It’s a nice nice treat because I really had no idea. It’s going to help out a lot,” said Wesson.
