Shooting in Montgomery leaves one dead, one injured

Montgomery police are investigating a shooting that has left one person dead and another person injured.

Police say the shooting happened at about 12:35AM today in the 3200 block of Covered Bridge Road. That is in the Carriage Hills neighborhood off of Eastern Boulevard.

Police say 20-year-old Kavone Mosquera was found with a fatal gunshot wound. They say a man was also discovered with what is believed to be a non-life threatening gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police are conduction a homicide and assault investigation.
