Mental Health Concerns Rising for Men
Mental health concerns are rising for men who may have trouble expressing their feelings. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention men are more likely to die by suicide than women. Which could be linked to some men’s inability to seek mental health treatment when compared to women.
Recognizing warning signs such as irritability, trouble sleeping, fatigue, irreversible sadness, compulsive behaviors or substance abuse are some red flags to look for in a loved one. Noticing these changes in behavior can help someone seek assistance or change their day to day behaviors before it’s too late.
But there are things you can do says Brent Cosby, owner of Southern Counseling Group. Exercise, drinking water and expressing your feeling regularly can help keep your mental state stable.
