Rain chances remain elevated for the foreseeable future

Showers and storms popped up prior to midday Wednesday, but Thursday morning was mainly dry. It may take longer for storms to get going Thursday, but they most likely become scattered about by the evening. Most of the rain gradually fades away Thursday night. The sky remains partly to mostly cloudy, with lows in the low to mid 70s.

Friday’s afternoon temperatures may remain shy of 90° in many locations. A combination of a mostly cloudy sky and scattered storms during the afternoon limits temperatures.
