High chance for a storm Sunday, elevated rain chances next week
It was a stormy Saturday for central and south Alabama. Although, it wasn’t raining all day long. Much of our area dried out during the late afternoon and early evening. A few storms were still around Saturday evening, and isolated showers or storms remain possible Saturday night. Otherwise, the sky remains mostly cloudy with lows in the low 70s.
The chance for a storm for part of the day looks high again on Sunday. Temperatures may warm to around 90° before rain cools most if not all locations down. Showers and storms linger into the evening, but fade away Sunday night. Rain chances remain elevated next week, at least through Thursday. Models show the daily coverage of storms falling Friday through next weekend.
