Rain chances remain higher-than-usual for July to begin this week

It was a stormy weekend across central and south Alabama. Showers and storms were scattered to numerous by Sunday afternoon. Scattered storms were still ongoing Sunday evening. Most if not all locations received rain for at least part of the day. The rain eventually fades away Sunday night. The sky remains mostly cloudy, with lows in the low 70s.

Rain chances remain higher-than-usual for late July, at least early this week. Scattered to numerous showers and storms form across central and south Alabama Monday through Thursday afternoon. However, models show that rain coverage decreases some Friday, and lowers further next weekend. By Saturday and Sunday, showers and storms may remain isolated to widely scattered.
