Higher-than-usual rain chances for July continue into the weekend
Scattered to numerous showers and storms cover central and south Alabama yet again Wednesday afternoon. Although, it looks unlikely that any locations see rain for the entire afternoon. Rain may be heavy in short bursts. Some locations may receive multiple rounds of rain. Showers and storms linger Wednesday evening, but ultimately mostly fade away Wednesday night. The sky remains mostly cloudy with lows in the low 70s.
Rain coverage remains fairly high, higher-than-usual for July in our area through Friday. Showers and storms become scattered Thursday and Friday afternoon. Temperatures may warm to around 90° before cooling rain arrives. Thursday and Friday night gradually trend mainly dry, with lows in the low 70s. It now looks like showers and storms become scattered Saturday and Sunday. Rain coverage remains scattered through Wednesday next week.
