Law enforcement partners to announce new unit to help fight crime
Federal, state and local law enforcement are coming together to announce a new program to help fight crime.
Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Secretary Hal Taylor will be joined by Attorney General Steve Marshall, Montgomery County Sheriff Derrick Cunningham and Montgomery Police Chief James Graboys, to announce the creation of the Metro Area Crime Suppression Unit, or MACS, and its success so far.
Officials say the new specialized unit was established to address crime within the City of Montgomery and surrounding areas.
The press conference will take place at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
