Montgomery man arrested in shooting that killed one person, injured another
Montgomery police have made an arrest in a shooting that killed one person and injured another.
Maj. Saba Coleman says 18-year-old My’Quan Morris, of Montgomery, has been arrested for the shooting death of 20-year-old Kavone Mosquera.
Police say the shooting happened around 12:35 a.m. on July 16 in the 3200 block of Covered Bridge Road. That is in the Carriage Hills neighborhood off of Eastern Boulevard.
Once officers and fire medics arrived, they found Mosquera with a fatal gunshot wound. A second victim, an unidentified male, was also discovered with what is believed to be a non-life threatening gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Morris is currently in the Montgomery County Detention Facility on no bond.
