ACTION 8 UPDATE: Montgomery police launch homicide investigation after teenager dies

ACTION 8 UPDATE: Montgomery police are launching a homicide investigation after a teenage shooting victim’s death.

As Action 8 News has reported, police say at about 4:32PM yesterday, they were called to a hospital where two 16-year-old males were being treated for gunshot wounds. Police said one of the teen’s wounds were life-threatening, and he later died.

Police say the other teen’s wounds are believed to be non-life threatening. An attempted murder investigation has been launched surrounding him.

Police say they have determined that the shooting happened in the area of Hilldale Drive, which is off Mobile Road not far from West Fairview Avenue.

No other information has been released.
