Rain Chances Down Just Slightly For Now
Widespread rain activity is taking a break from our area but it’s only a brief break and we’re back into the areawide cover of rain/storms over the upcoming weekend. The yard may dry out just enough for mowing but you better take advantage of the rain break while it last.
In the meantime, any showers or t-storms that have developed will weaken and die out this evening. We’re expecting a partly to mostly cloudy sky with temps falling into the lower to mid 70s overnight. We start out with a partly cloudy sky and temps in the mid to upper 70s early Friday. The rest of the day is looking partly sunny and mainly rain free. There will be a few exceptions and that will come in the form of isolated showers or t-storms. Temps should manage to climb into the lower 90s for highs Friday afternoon.
Over the weekend, we expect moisture to increase once again and that will fuel numerous showers and t-storms both days. Sunday looks a little wetter with more widespread coverage of rain activity. Temps will still be able to reach the lower 90s despite increased rain chances. We head into next week with a daily threat for afternoon showers and storms. It’s looking more like a typical summertime setup with temps reaching the lower to mid 90s for highs.
