Selma Housing Authority hosts baseball summer camp
From the West Alabama Newsroom–
Selma Housing Authority teamed up with the Selma Parks and Recreation Department — to host a baseball summer camp for area children.
About two dozen up and coming baseball players — participated in a one day summer baseball camp at Bloch Park in Selma.
Campers learned basic baseball skills. In addition to valuable life lessons.
The camp was a big hit for everyone involved — especially the campers.
“I learned how to line my feet up properly and I learned how to swing the bat more smoother. And I learned how to judge the ball and get better at base running,” said camper Glenn Johnson.
“I really like, I really like the coaches, everything we doing. They should do this every year,” said camper Zachery Moorer.
And SHA officials say they plan to make the baseball camp an annual summertime event for area children.
