Hot and humid with scattered to numerous storms Sunday
Saturday was a hot and humid day, but some showers and storms cooled many locations back down during the afternoon or evening. Even before the cooling rain arrived, temperatures only warmed into the upper 80s and low 90s. Not bad for late July. While showers lingered into the evening, they fade away overnight. Meanwhile, the sky remains partly to mostly cloudy with lows in the low to mid 70s.
Storms become scattered to numerous again Sunday, mainly during the afternoon and evening. Otherwise, a partly cloudy sky allows temperatures to warm into the low 90s. Storm coverage remains scattered to numerous Monday, then scattered Tuesday. It looks like daily rain chances may fall as the calendar flips from July to August. However, at least isolated to widely scattered showers and storms remain possible through next weekend.
