Georgia man dies in Lowndes County crash

A single-vehicle crash in Lowndes County has claimed the life of a Georgia man.

The crash happened around 3:30 this morning on U.S. 80 near the 101 mile marker, four miles west of White Hall.

State troopers tell us that 39-year-old Kelpsie Lott, Jr., of Albany, was killed when the 2020 Freightliner he was driving left the roadway and overturned.

Lott was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating.
