A Mainly Hot & Dry Weather Pattern
Debby is back down to a tropical storm and a big time rainmaker for Northern Florida, Southeast Georgia, and South Carolina. The main issue will be significant rainfall leading some serious flooding. The tropical system will linger over the southeast Atlantic coastal states for several days. For our area, the circulation around the tropical system will put us under a northerly wind flow. That’s a dry wind and it will help heat up the air. We’re climbing into the mid to upper 90s for highs most of the week. Later in the week, a frontal boundary will move into the state. This boundary will be the focal point for possibly showers and t-storm development Friday. The front may actually push through and a reinforcing shot of drier air spills into the state over the weekend. Our weather conditions could trend slightly milder for a few days. It will all depend on the front and if it can actually make it south of us.
