Approaching Triple Digit High Temperatures!

Debby is still holding onto tropical storm strength and may intensify a bit Wednesday.  It won’t be anything significant but the system will continue to pound south Georgia and the Carolina’s with heavy rainfall.  The continuous soaking rains will lead to some serious flooding.  The tropical system will linger over the southeast Atlantic coastal states for a few more days.  We remain on the western fringes of the tropical circulation and that’s providing us a northerly wind flow.  Dry air spilling into the area will  heat up and we’re climbing into the mid to upper 90s for highs the remainder of the work week.  A frontal boundary will move into the state Friday. This boundary will be moisture starved and any rain potential will be extremely low.  The front may actually push through and a reinforcing shot of drier air spills into the state over the weekend.  Our weather conditions could trend slightly milder for a few days.  It will all depend on the front and if it can actually make it south of us.
