Troy man charged with attempted murder

Troy police have made an arrest in the shooting of a 17-year-old male.

Police say they’ve arrested 36-year-old Demetrius Flowers of Troy and have charged him with attempted murder.

Police were called to the scene of the shooting in the 100 block of Cedar Drive at 1:25AM on July 28. Officers say the teenager was shot two times in the back. He was taken to Troy Regional Medical Center and then transferred to a Montgomery hospital for treatment. Police say his injuries are not life-threatening.

Flowers is being held on a $75,000 bond in the Pike County Jail.
